Apex Legends reaches 25 million players in a week

A week ago Apex Legends was not to be seen, now it reaches 25 million players in seven only days! This is an absolute record for the Respawn Entertainment company and CEO Vince Zampella who surprised said “The community’s excitement for Apex Legends is electric, and we feel it here at the studio. We couldn’t have gotten where we are without you and look forward to having you on this journey with us.”

Zampella in an interview revealed th upcoming addition of limited-time cosmetics after Valentine’s Day and was so hyped for the start of Apex Legends Season 1 on March 2019, which will also debut Apex Legends Battle Pass. In just a week, Apex Legends has fully established itself as a titan of the battle royale genre, and we can’t wait to see what it does next.

For Apex Legends this is a dream come true, as Fortnite on its early days hit the same amount of players in just two weeks. Apex owes much to Fortnite: Battle Royale, as it brings every time the fever for a Battle Royale game. Epic Games should now be worried with Apex gathering so many followers and climbing on the top of the rank, but not so fast. Fortnite just hit another record for their company, when the latest game update including Marshmellow’s concert gave the game another 10 million players registered making it a phenomenon in gaming history.

Truth is that both EpicGames and Respawn Entertainment are targeting to different audiences and are successfully bringing them in their games with their updates. Judging between Battle Royale games, a conversation between Apex Legends and PUBG’s Brendan Greene, the developer said that they aren’t so worried about Apex Legends going so high.
