Gears 5 ‘steals’ its best features from XCOM and party games

The Gears of War franchise has always been rooted in cooperative gameplay.

Back in 2006, the original Gears of War launched with a seamless two-player campaign that offered the same experience as the single-player version, just with a friend. Now, with Gears 5, developer The Coalition is doubling down with two brilliant new cooperative hooks, features which remind me more of party games and the XCOM series, of all things, rather than a traditional third-person shooter.

Control update addresses performance issues, rolling out now

A new Pokémon has been revealed during Nintendo Direct

We learned more about the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield from the latest Nintendo Direct. The Galar region in Pokémon was shown off once again, like Polteagiest a ghost Pokémon that chills in broken teapot. Its body tastes like tea, which means that yes, you can drink it, though we’re told not to drink too much or we’ll get a stomach ache.

Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiplayer eventually

CD Projekt Red has officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer component, but only once the studio has finished delivering all planned single-player content for the game. The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account announced confirmation this morning.
