iOS 12.4 developer beta released ahead of Apple Card launch

With iOS 12.3 out of beta as of Monday, Apple is moving on to iOS 12.4 developer beta for iPhone and iPad. macOS 10.14.6 developer beta for Mac, tvOS 12.4 developer beta for Apple TV, and watchOS 5.3 developer beta for Apple Watch are also available today.


Apple TV app and AirPlay 2 debut on Samsung Smart TVs alongside iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3 release

The all-new Apple TV app is now available for Samsung Smart TVs, marking the first time the video player has been available beyond Apple’s own platforms. Samsung Smart TVs are also gaining support for Apple’s AirPlay 2 feature for wirelessly sending audio and video to the TV screen without a set-top box attached.

A rumor came today from iPhonesoft.fr suggests that iOS 13 will not be making its way into the previous generation iPhones. With iOS 12 Apple let every device that previously ran iOS 11 receive the new update, boosting performance and devices all the way back to iPhone 5s. If this report is to believed, then it is the end of the road for a large chunk of devices.
